I'm doing it again - this time with my lovely friend Leonie Brock! We will be running the London Marathon in October for the Evelina London Children's Hospital!
Fundraising is tricky in all environments and I know these days we are all struggling, so rather than ask directly for donations (although I do also have a Virgin Money fundraising site, see below), I wanted to collect some beautiful accessories that I have sourced and sell them on with 100% of proceeds going to my marathon fundraising effort for Evelina London Children's Hospital.
Have a look, see if there is something you like, and please get in touch with any questions.
Stay safe!
Love, Fran & Leonie

Please consider buying some of these beautiful accessories in support of my London Marathon fundraising effort for Evelina London Children's Hospital. 100% of proceeds go to this amazing hospital.
Three years ago, my then 7 year old son Kasten suddenly became very ill, seized and fell from his chair during dinner. He went into respiratory arrest in my arms, and I battled to keep him with me by administering CPR. With the help of 999, I was able to stabilise him by the time the paramedics arrived, albeit only to the point of relative unresponsiveness. He continued to seize in the ambulance, and went into full respiratory arrest, requiring intubation and ventilation before arriving at our local hospital. After an initial round of tests, Evelina's retrieval team were called, and my husband and I were told that they were on their way. We were absolutely terrified. I had never heard of Evelina Children's Hospital, and was petrified to send my baby, my first born, my love, into unknown territory. But this hospital, with their amazing team of paediatric neurologists and compassionate nurses, saved his life, and they did so with dignity, pride, vigilance and the utmost professionalism. I owe this hospital and it’s amazing staff to such an immeasurable degree that it will take 100 life times of good and selfless deeds to even scratch the surface of reciprocation. I've completed a range of fundraising activities for the hospital over the last few years and am so excited to run for them again this year.
For those of you, who like me had never heard of Evelina, it is the Children's Hospital of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. They are the second largest provider of children's services in London, with the vision to become a world leading centre of life changing care for children, young people and their families. Their neonatal unit cares for around 900 babies a year and has some of the best survival rates in the UK. Each year, they care for about 55,000 children and babies - my little Kasten is just one of those. During the pandemic, they have also done a great deal to support adults - Kasten's care team have been active in caring for COVID afflicted adults in ICU. I am always in awe of the level of care that they continue to provide despite these challenging times.
